When someone says the word "fire", you may think of a red fire truck or another emergency vehicle or maybe you think of the song, "Fire and Rain", performed years ago by James Taylor. Our Rescue family has a new member whose name is Fyre. He's about twelve months of age and is a beautiful all red boy who loves people and other dogs. In fact, some of the other dogs who were rescued from a high kill shelter at the same time as Fyre want to thank him for being such a good doggie greeter when he invited them to join him in the doggie limo which would take them to Rescue. Picked up as a stray, Fyre probably thinks about the James Taylor song, especially the words, "I always thought that I'd see you, one more time again". Maybe he didn't see his family again but he knows that whoever decides to invite him into their home will never leave him. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100%25 tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers. We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend!
