WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- This weekend is the Komen Race for the Cure.
Thousands of women and men will walk to raise money for breast cancer research and a good portion of that money stays in the D.C. area.
Dr. Regina Hampton, medical director of the Center for Comprehensive Breast Care at Community Hospital, and breast cancer survivor Robyn Veney, a patient who has benefited from these funds, joined us on Thursday to talk more about how the race is helping others.
