WICHITA -- An estimated $300,000 worth of high-grade marijuana was recovered from a home in southeast Wichita after a real estate agent used a cellphone to photograph the drugs two days before the occupant was scheduled to move in, Wichita police said Saturday.
Sgt. Bruce Watts said the owner of the home contacted police Aug. 30 after seeing the pictures on her real estate agent?s phone. The woman told officers that her husband had given a key to the new tenant before the scheduled Sept. 1 move-in date. When officers went to the home, they found 120 pounds of marijuana that had been grown indoors with hydroponic equipment. Watts said the man who rented the house, who had a prior conviction for illegally entering the U.S., was turned over to immigration officials as federal prosecutors determine what charges to file.| The Wichita Eagle
